Now Accepting Applications for 2017 Kevin York Comms Pro Bono Client

In 2015 and 2016, the KYC team took on one pro bono non-profit client each year. Our focus was to help each advance their marketing and communications programs in a number of different ways. These pro bono relationships have been very special to the whole staff, allowing us to use our talents to help organizations that are working hard to advance very worthy causes. While we also give back to our communities throughout the year via our time (volunteering) and resources (financial contributions), helping non-profits through our talents brings our contribution to the non-profit world to another level. We look at our pro bono clients just as we do our paying clients, approaching the programs in the same way - doing whatever it takes to help them reach their goals and leave a mark on their audiences.

Today, we’re excited to announce that we’ve opened the application process for determining our 2017 pro bono client.

Interested Non-Profit Organizations - Apply by sending us an email (pro-bono-recruitment [at] that includes information about your organization, marketing goals, and the marketing project you’d like our assistance achieving. Please send your email by December 16, 2016. We’ll notify the pro bono we choose, determined by a staff vote, on December 28, 2016.

Tips for increasing your likelihood of being chosen:

--Choose one project you’d like us to help with. While you'll have our services throughout the year, we’ve found that pro bono clients get the most return from us by focusing our efforts on one big project. That project can take any shape or form: an announcement, a redesign of an annual report, email communications to your volunteer base, creative marketing ideas for sustained fundraising, creating a social media program, etc.

--Explain why your organization was founded and who it’s helping. We want to have a good idea of what you do, why, and who benefits from the services you offer.

--You can be located anywhere in the United States, but our team is based in Boston. Our preference is to help organizations local to our group.
